Usually the event organizers make sure to put the chairs in the room. However, it could be that you’re pitching at an event you organized yourself. If that’s the case, you have to think about the organization of the room and its chairs.
There are a few things which are important when you put the chairs for a pitch:
- Make sure everybody has enough space for his or her legs
- Make sure everybody can see who is on stage. Even the people in the back of the room.
- Make sure everybody is able to see the screen. Project some example slides and see if there is enough light in the room.
