Wat is an investor pitch?

An investor pitch is a short story about your company. The goal of an investor pitch is to convince the investor to invest money into your company.

The things you should include in your investor pitch are:

 

The opening – A few words which catch the attention of the investor

The problem – What is the problem your company is trying to solve?

The solution – How do you solve this problem?

The market – How many potential customers are out there? And how many have you already captured?

The team – What are is the skillset of your team? Do you have experience in this field?

The call to action – What do you want from the investor? What does he get in return?

What is a startup pitch actually?

A startup pitch is a short presentation about a startup. Mostly this presentation is done to investors, but it could also be done to potential partners or customers.

This presentation usually doesn’t take longer than 2 minutes.

In these 2 minutes it’s your job to:

  • Get the attention of an investor
  • Introduce the problem you are solving
  • Explain how you are solving that problem
  • Make the investor excited
  • Let the investor know that you are looking for an investment
